"FACTS ABOUT WHAT
WE DO AND WHY"
NO SALT IS NOT AN OPTION:
If snow plows just plow, they first have to wait until at least an inch has fallen, and when they plow, they cannot actually scrape the ground clean. This will leave a layer of smooth snow and ice. When its snowing, it is usually cold enough that snow and ice make a big skating rink. This is more dangerous than not plowing at all.
START TIMES:
Generally Midland will dispatch in the middle of the night. We do this to avoid other vehicles and people and lots are most empty. However, depending on the start time of the weather, we may have no control as tot when Midland will arrive.
PLOWING MULTIPLE TIMES IN BIG STORMS:
Midland plows multiple times to reduce plow times and wear and tear. Also, this helps maintain how clean Midland can get lot after big snow falls.
